Meet Joyel Marie

Joyel brings a unique blend of intellect, creativity, and heart to everything she does. An aeronautical engineer by training, she has led high-performing engineering teams in the aerospace industry since 1999. She's also the author of The Babe with the Power, a deeply personal memoir about her journey from victim to self-accountability — written to inspire others with her experience, strength, and hope.

A lifelong lover of movement, Joyel has been immersed in yoga and dance since childhood. She completed her 200-hour Kripalu yoga teacher training and has formal training in both jazz and modern dance. Since 2000, she’s continued her studies in yoga, breathwork, and meditation, integrating these practices into her daily life and teaching.

Joyel is also a triathlete and an avid adventurer who finds joy in anything that connects her to her body and to nature. She lives in upstate New York with her husband, children, dog, cat, and a flock of free-ranging chickens.

Her teaching is grounded in four pillars: joyful movement, the everyday magic of life, introspective self-inquiry, and embodied presence. Joyel offers private 1:1 sessions and loves sharing practices that enrich our time on this planet — from yoga and meditation to breathwork and other soul-nourishing, life-affirming tools.

If you're curious to explore together, reach out — she’d love to hear from you.
